Description
Juicy grilled steak paired with fresh zucchini and a flavorful sauce, served in a satisfying bowl.
Ingredients
- Steak (your choice of cut, such as sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 medium Zucchini
- Olive oil (for grilling)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Soy sauce (for the marinade)
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Fresh herbs (like cilantro or parsley, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss the steak in the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it’s nice and hot for optimum steak searing.
- Grill the steak: Remove the steak from the marinade; let excess drip off. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Grill for 4-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on desired doneness. Remove from grill and let rest.
- Grill the zucchini: Slice zucchini into rounds or strips. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place on the grill for about 3-4 minutes per side or until they have a slight char and are tender.
- Slice and assemble: Slice the steak against the grain. In a bowl, layer steak, grilled zucchini, and drizzle with any leftover sauce. Garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
Best served warm with rice or quinoa. Optional toppings include feta cheese or a squeeze of lime.
