Description

A vibrant and customizable dish featuring perfectly grilled beef and fresh toppings, ideal for gatherings or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (ground or strips)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine beef with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high.
  3. Grill the beef: Place the marinated beef on the grill, cooking until nicely charred and done, about 5-7 minutes, depending on thickness.
  4. Warm the tortillas: Wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and place them on the grill or directly on the grates for about 1-2 minutes until warmed.
  5. Assemble tacos: Remove beef from grill and let rest for a few minutes. Thinly slice or crumble, then place beef in the tortillas.
  6. Add toppings: Top with diced onions, tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed with salsa, guacamole, or a simple salad. Can be customized with various proteins and veggies.
