Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (ground or strips)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
- Lime wedges (for serving)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine beef with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat the grill: Heat your grill to medium-high.
- Grill the beef: Place the marinated beef on the grill, cooking until nicely charred and done, about 5-7 minutes, depending on thickness.
- Warm the tortillas: Wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and place them on the grill or directly on the grates for about 1-2 minutes until warmed.
- Assemble tacos: Remove beef from grill and let rest for a few minutes. Thinly slice or crumble, then place beef in the tortillas.
- Add toppings: Top with diced onions, tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top before serving.
