Description

A hearty casserole combining flaky croissants, savory beef, and melted cheese, perfect for brunch gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 day-old croissants, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (your favorite blend)
  • 1 pound ground beef, cooked and seasoned
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Tear croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the cooked ground beef with shredded cheese, then spread evenly over the croissants.
  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper; pour over the layered ingredients.
  5. Allow it to soak for about 10 minutes before baking.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and set.

Notes

For a richer flavor, sauté onions or bell peppers with the ground beef. You can prepare the dish the night before and bake it in the morning.
