Description
Juicy chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and savory Hawaiian-inspired sauce, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and pineapple juice for the marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they’re thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off. Discard the leftover marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Once done, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For a lighter option, feel free to substitute skinless chicken breasts. For best flavor, marinate overnight if possible.
