Description

Delightful baked oatmeal cups filled with apple and cinnamon, perfect for a hearty and energizing breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk (any kind or plant-based alternative)
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 cup diced apples (peeled, if desired)
  • Optional: chopped nuts or raisins


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, applesauce, and maple syrup.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples and stir gently.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
