Description

Deliciously satisfying banana oat bars, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional mix-ins: nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, honey or maple syrup, almond or peanut butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stir in the rolled oats, baking powder, and salt until well mixed.
  4. If desired, fold in any optional mix-ins for extra flavor.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and firm to the touch.
  7. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing into bars.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or frozen for longer storage.
