Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (or all-purpose)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter or coconut oil, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: nuts or dried fruit for added texture


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix oats, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and honey until well combined.
  4. Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients; fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bars to cool slightly before slicing.
