Description
A comforting dish of ground beef meatballs simmered in a rich gravy, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (lean)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs (or gluten-free alternatives)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Gravy mix or homemade gravy ingredients (broth, flour, seasonings)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Cook the meatballs until they are browned on all sides, about 7–10 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs and set them aside. Use the skillet to prepare the gravy by making a roux with flour and broth until thickened, then stir in seasonings.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and let them simmer in the gravy for about 10 minutes.
