Description

A comforting soup that brings the flavors of a classic burger into a warm bowl, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the onion, carrots, celery, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables start to soften.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Adjust seasoning as desired before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken. Feel free to add a splash of red wine for enhanced flavor.
