Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the onion, carrots, celery, and bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables start to soften.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Adjust seasoning as desired before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken. Feel free to add a splash of red wine for enhanced flavor.
