Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until softened.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer; then add the patties carefully.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through and the broth has thickened slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, you can mix in cheese with the beef or top the patties with cheese towards the end of baking.
