Description

A comforting bowl of noodles flavored with savory ground beef, combining sweet and salty with a hint of spice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces noodles of your choice (rice, egg, or udon)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Optional: crushed red pepper for heat

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and brown sugar, stirring to combine.
  6. Add the cooked noodles, tossing everything together. Drizzle with sesame oil before mixing thoroughly.
  7. If desired, sprinkle in crushed red pepper for extra heat. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For richer flavor, marinate ground beef in soy sauce and ginger before cooking. Great with vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
