Description

A flavorful Korean-inspired ground beef dish served over rice with steamed broccoli, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup rice (cooked)
  • 1 cup broccoli, steamed
  • Sliced green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground beef, cooking until browned and fully cooked, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Mix in soy sauce and brown sugar, stirring until well combined and heated through.
  5. Serve the beef over cooked rice and top with steamed broccoli.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

Marinate the ground beef for at least 30 minutes before cooking for enhanced flavor. Feel free to substitute brown sugar with honey or agave syrup.
