Description
A vibrant and nourishing bowl with spicy tuna over fluffy rice, perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sushi rice (or jasmine rice)
- 1 pound sushi-grade tuna, diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to the package instructions (usually 1 cup rice to 1.25 cups water).
- In a bowl, combine diced tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha. Mix well and set aside for the flavors to meld.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and let it cool slightly.
- In serving bowls, layer the rice and top with the marinated tuna, avocados, and cucumbers.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Add nori strips if using.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a vegetarian option, consider using marinated tofu instead of tuna. Store components separately to keep leftovers fresh.
