Description

A quick and healthy dish featuring tender beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sliced thin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  3. Introduce minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets, cooking for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Pour this mix over the beef and broccoli, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Feel free to substitute flank steak for the beef or use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt intake.
