A hearty and comforting chili filled with seasoned beef, beans, and tomatoes, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it’s cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add in the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker.
- Stir in the bell pepper, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve warm, garnished with your favorites.
