Description

A hearty and comforting chili filled with seasoned beef, beans, and tomatoes, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until it’s cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add in the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker.
  4. Stir in the bell pepper, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with your favorites.
