Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz pasta (elbow or shell)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Stir in marinara sauce and seasonings. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, ricotta cheese, and the ground beef mixture.
- Transfer everything to a greased baking dish and top with cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For freezing, cover tightly; it can last up to two months.
