Description

A delightful blend of creamy cheese, tender beef, and perfectly cooked macaroni, inspired by a classic Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced (any color)
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to the package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Once the beef is cooked, add the diced onion and bell pepper, sautéing until softened.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, stirring in the garlic powder, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and mix in the cream cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked macaroni and half of the provolone cheese into the beef mixture, stirring to combine well.
  7. Top with the remaining provolone cheese, cover, and let it melt for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use freshly shredded cheese and feel free to experiment with spices for additional flavor.
