Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (or plant-based substitute)
- 1 cup uncooked pasta (shells or elbow)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup diced bell peppers
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: shredded cheese for topping
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced bell peppers and sauté for about 3–5 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the uncooked pasta, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, cover the skillet, and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the frozen peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top before serving.
Notes
To store leftovers, transfer them to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 2 months. Reheat to 165°F for safe consumption.
