Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the remaining oil, add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3 minutes until translucent.
- Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir for about a minute to toast it lightly.
- Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, cooking until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet to coat it in the gravy.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped parsley.
