A delightful fusion of traditional meatloaf with sweet and tangy honey BBQ sauce, perfect for weeknight meals and family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, ketchup, egg, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients until they’re well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and set it in a baking dish.
- Brush half of the honey BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until it’s cooked through.
- In the final 10 minutes of baking, brush the remaining honey BBQ sauce on top to create a caramelized glaze.
- Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey for the beef. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for dietary restrictions.
