Description

A delightful fusion of traditional meatloaf with sweet and tangy honey BBQ sauce, perfect for weeknight meals and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, ketchup, egg, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix the ingredients until they’re well incorporated.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and set it in a baking dish.
  5. Brush half of the honey BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until it’s cooked through.
  7. In the final 10 minutes of baking, brush the remaining honey BBQ sauce on top to create a caramelized glaze.
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey for the beef. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for dietary restrictions.
