Description

A quick and delightful dish combining tender chicken with a sweet and tangy honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mince the garlic finely to unleash its full flavor.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ground ginger, and cornstarch until smooth and well combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  5. Pour the honey-garlic sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat each piece and allow it to simmer for approximately 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve the chicken hot over fluffy rice or alongside steamed vegetables, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For a healthier twist, you can use agave syrup instead of honey. Feel free to substitute chicken thighs for a richer flavor.
