Description
A delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors, this Honey Garlic Chicken is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup pure honey
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, mixing well. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes, letting those flavors sink in.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it’s golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Pour any leftover marinade into the skillet and let it simmer, allowing it to thicken into a luscious glaze.
- Garnish your creation with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
Marinate the chicken longer for enhanced flavor. Substitute with tofu or shrimp as needed.
