Description

A delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors, this Honey Garlic Chicken is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup pure honey
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces to ensure they cook evenly.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, mixing well. Allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes, letting those flavors sink in.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it’s golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  5. Pour any leftover marinade into the skillet and let it simmer, allowing it to thicken into a luscious glaze.
  6. Garnish your creation with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for enhanced flavor. Substitute with tofu or shrimp as needed.
