Description

A delightful grilled cheese sandwich featuring aged cheddar, crispy beef bacon, tart apples, and a touch of hot honey for a sweet and savory twist.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 2 slices of aged cheddar cheese
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced (tart varieties like Granny Smith)
  • 2-4 slices of beef bacon, cooked
  • Hot honey, to taste
  • Butter, for grilling

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter.
  2. Spread hot honey on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the cheddar cheese, apple slices, and crispy beef bacon.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top, honey side down.
  5. Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Grill for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown, then flip.
  7. Grill the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is perfectly toasted, about another 4-5 minutes.
  8. Remove from the skillet and let it sit for a minute before cutting in half.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit the beef bacon and add grilled vegetables. Experiment with different bread and cheese varieties to customize your sandwich.
