Description

A simple and flavorful crockpot recipe for tender shredded chicken, perfect for family dinners or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Low-sodium chicken broth
  • 3 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 large Sweet onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce or salsa


Instructions

  1. Start by chopping the onion and mincing the garlic.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, followed by the garlic, onion, cumin, paprika, and the BBQ sauce or salsa.
  4. Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat for 6-8 hours or high heat for 4-5 hours.
  5. Once cooked, use two forks to shred the chicken right in the crockpot, mixing it well with the juices.
  6. Enjoy immediately, or let it cool for meal prep later.

Notes

For extra flavor, sear the chicken before placing it in the crockpot. This dish can be served in tacos, sandwiches, or salads.
