Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound salmon fillet (skin on)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 whole lemon, sliced
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Pat the salmon dry and place it skin side down on the foil.
- Generously season the salmon with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic.
- Brush the butter mixture over the salmon fillet, then layer lemon slices on top.
- Carefully wrap the foil around the salmon to create a sealed packet.
- Bake for 13-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 115°F (46°C).
- For a finishing touch, broil for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Allow it to rest for 3 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
