Description

A flavorful Korean ground beef bowl with savory and sweet elements, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, around 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and brown sugar, mixing well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, steam or microwave the broccoli and carrots until tender.
  6. Serve the cooked beef over a bed of rice, topped with broccoli, carrots, green onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the ground beef in soy sauce and a touch of sesame oil before cooking.
