Description
A tender, flaky salmon fillet bathed in a luscious garlic butter sauce, highlighted by fresh lemon.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds salmon fillet, skin on
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 whole lemon, thinly sliced
- Fresh chopped parsley, optional for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and position a rack in the upper third.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and place it skin-side down in the center of the foil. Season it lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic until well combined. Brush this mixture generously over the salmon.
- Lay the thin lemon slices over the top of the fillet and wrap the foil around it to create a tightly sealed packet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes, until the salmon’s center reaches about 115°F (46°C).
- Switch the oven to broil at 450°F (232°C), open the foil packet, and return it to the oven for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the salmon is golden brown and cooked to 145°F (63°C).
- Allow the salmon to rest for 3 minutes before garnishing with freshly chopped parsley and serving.
Notes
