Description

A creamy and savory dish that combines beef, pasta, and classic burger toppings for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pasta (elbow macaroni or penne)
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Beef bacon, chopped (optional for added flavor)
  • Toppings: diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. If using, add the chopped beef bacon for extra flavor and cook until crispy.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet, sautéing until softened.
  4. Stir in the cream cheese, beef broth, and milk, mixing until smooth. Gradually add in the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce in the skillet, mixing thoroughly to coat.
  6. Add Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper, adjusting flavors as needed.
  7. Serve hot, topped with fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using whole wheat pasta or lower-fat cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
