Description

Irresistibly savory and comforting, this baked egg dish is perfect for brunch or a cozy dinner and is easily customizable with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk or cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup spinach or another green, chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions, diced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs or spices for added flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
  3. Stir in cheese, vegetables, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

For an even creamier texture, use half-and-half instead of milk. Letting the dish sit for a few minutes before slicing helps maintain its shape.
