Description

A comforting and hearty meatloaf that’s perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this mixture evenly over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing for clean pieces.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding minced garlic or Italian seasoning. Letting the mixture chill before shaping can help with structure.
