Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or lamb
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Olive oil for frying
- Tzatziki sauce for dipping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, roughly 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook until golden brown on all sides and thoroughly cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
- Transfer the meatballs to a serving plate and enjoy warm with tzatziki sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey or use gluten-free breadcrumbs. Marinating the meat mixture for an hour can enhance flavors.
