Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheese (like cheddar)
- 1/2 cup green onions or chives, chopped
- 1 cup rice (white or brown)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1 cup vegetables (like broccoli or peas)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half of the cheese, green onions, rice, and chosen seasonings.
- Stir all the ingredients until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté onions and garlic before adding them. You can also sprinkle paprika or cayenne pepper on top before baking for a subtle kick.
