Description

A delightful buttery loaf cake with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and subtle sweetness of vanilla, perfect for gatherings or a quiet moment with coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Consider drizzling with a simple vanilla glaze or serving alongside fresh berries or whipped cream.
