These delightful protein balls capture the essence of cake batter while providing a nutritious snack perfect for post-workout or movie nights.
Ingredients
- 1 cup vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup nut butter (almond or peanut butter)
- 1 cup oats
- 2-3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the vanilla protein powder, nut butter, oats, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt.
- Mix everything together until well combined and a dough forms. If the mixture feels too dry, add more nut butter or honey.
- Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the protein balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- If desired, roll in sprinkles for decoration.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
For a nut-free version, substitute nut butter with sunflower seed butter. You can also freeze for up to three months.
