Description
Juicy chicken cooked in a tangy balsamic sauce, delivering a delightful mix of sweetness and acidity.
Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), optional
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and sear each side for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Mix balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
- Reduce heat to low and cover the skillet. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Check that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If not, continue cooking until done.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
Searing the chicken creates a crisp exterior; allow to rest after cooking for maximum juiciness.
