Description

Juicy chicken cooked in a tangy balsamic sauce, delivering a delightful mix of sweetness and acidity.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), optional

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Add the chicken to the skillet and sear each side for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Mix balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cover the skillet. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Check that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If not, continue cooking until done.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Searing the chicken creates a crisp exterior; allow to rest after cooking for maximum juiciness.
