Description

A delicious one-pot meal combining tender chicken, orzo, and a creamy Cajun sauce for a hearty, satisfying dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken and season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Sauté until browned and cooked through.
  2. Stir in the orzo and chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring until well combined and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

To keep leftovers fresh, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of chicken broth or cream to restore creaminess.
