Description

A comforting and quick dish featuring tender chicken and creamy cheese-filled tortellini with a hint of spice, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 1 package cheese tortellini
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant—about 1 minute.
  3. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Add it to the pot and cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the tortellini and pour in enough water or broth to cover everything.
  5. Cook according to the tortellini package instructions, usually around 4-5 minutes, until tender.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and creates a creamy sauce.
  7. Remove from heat, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

You can substitute chicken with shrimp or use a different type of pasta. To intensify flavor, sauté garlic separately before adding.
