Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 1 package cheese tortellini
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant—about 1 minute.
- Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Add it to the pot and cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the tortellini and pour in enough water or broth to cover everything.
- Cook according to the tortellini package instructions, usually around 4-5 minutes, until tender.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and creates a creamy sauce.
- Remove from heat, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
You can substitute chicken with shrimp or use a different type of pasta. To intensify flavor, sauté garlic separately before adding.
