Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook until both sides are golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Stir in the herbs and cheese, letting the sauce simmer until slightly thickened.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let it soak in the flavors for a few minutes.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet, mixing everything together.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional cheese if desired.
Notes
For an elevated dining experience, serve with garlic bread and a salad. Cherry tomatoes or spinach can add freshness.
