A warm and comforting chicken casserole that combines shredded chicken with creamy ingredients and a crispy topping, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or your favorite type)
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh)
- 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and mixed vegetables. Stir until well mixed.
- Add half of the cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers with the remaining cheese and chicken broth. Spread this topping over the casserole mixture.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crispy.
Notes
Pairs well with a side salad, garlic bread, or biscuits. Can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for up to two months.
