Description
An effortless oven-baked salmon recipe that’s healthy and bursting with flavor, perfect for busy weeknights or entertaining.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet (whole or cut into 4 pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped
- Lemon slices (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Place the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet and pat it dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
- Spoon or brush this mixture generously over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Add a few lemon slices on top for an extra layer of flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet. The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork but remains moist in the center.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 2 minutes, then sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
- Serve warm alongside rice, roasted vegetables, pasta, or a simple salad.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the salmon for 30 minutes before baking and avoid overcooking by checking a minute or two early.
