Description

An effortless oven-baked salmon recipe that’s healthy and bursting with flavor, perfect for busy weeknights or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet (whole or cut into 4 pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley or dill, chopped
  • Lemon slices (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Place the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet and pat it dry with a paper towel.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Spoon or brush this mixture generously over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  5. Add a few lemon slices on top for an extra layer of flavor.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet. The salmon is ready when it flakes easily with a fork but remains moist in the center.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 2 minutes, then sprinkle with fresh parsley or dill before serving.
  8. Serve warm alongside rice, roasted vegetables, pasta, or a simple salad.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the salmon for 30 minutes before baking and avoid overcooking by checking a minute or two early.
