Description

A simple yet sophisticated smoked salmon dish perfect for brunch or a quick dinner.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of smoked salmon
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons of capers, drained
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of red onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 8 slices of whole-grain bread (or bagels)
  • Mixed greens (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, capers, dill, lemon juice, red onion, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  2. Lightly toast the slices of whole-grain bread or bagels until golden brown.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture generously on each slice.
  4. Layer the smoked salmon over the cream cheese, ensuring an even distribution.
  5. Garnish with mixed greens and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

If you’re short on certain ingredients, consider using Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese for a lighter twist.
