Description
A tantalizing Peruvian dish featuring grilled chicken marinated in aromatic spices, served with a creamy green sauce.
Ingredients
- Chicken pieces (legs or thighs)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp oregano
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh herbs (cilantro and parsley)
- 1 avocado
- 1 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 jalapeño (optional)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine garlic, cumin, paprika, oregano, lemon juice, and olive oil. Add the chicken and coat well. Marinade for at least 30 minutes, or longer if you have time.
- Prepare the green sauce: Blend fresh herbs, avocado, Greek yogurt, and jalapeño until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and lemon to taste.
- Grill the chicken: Preheat your grill to medium-high. Cook the marinated chicken pieces for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Serve: Once grilled, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair it with the creamy green sauce on the side.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the chicken for at least an hour; overnight is better. Serve with a side of salad, rice, or roasted vegetables.
