Description

A tantalizing Peruvian dish featuring grilled chicken marinated in aromatic spices, served with a creamy green sauce.

Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces (legs or thighs)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro and parsley)
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine garlic, cumin, paprika, oregano, lemon juice, and olive oil. Add the chicken and coat well. Marinade for at least 30 minutes, or longer if you have time.
  2. Prepare the green sauce: Blend fresh herbs, avocado, Greek yogurt, and jalapeño until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and lemon to taste.
  3. Grill the chicken: Preheat your grill to medium-high. Cook the marinated chicken pieces for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  4. Serve: Once grilled, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair it with the creamy green sauce on the side.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken for at least an hour; overnight is better. Serve with a side of salad, rice, or roasted vegetables.
