Description

Crispy prosciutto wrapped around tender asparagus spears, making for an elegant appetizer or side dish that’s easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 12 spears asparagus
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil (or coconut oil/ghee for frying)

Instructions

  1. Clean and trim your asparagus by snapping off about 2 cm from the ends.
  2. Slice each strip of prosciutto in half lengthwise.
  3. On a clean surface, place a prosciutto strip at a 45-degree angle and align one asparagus spear at the bottom.
  4. Wrap the prosciutto around the asparagus, ensuring it’s snug but not too tight.
  5. Heat the olive oil or ghee in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  6. Carefully place the wrapped asparagus in the pan and sauté for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the prosciutto is golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For lighter variations, substitute prosciutto with turkey bacon. Add spices for extra flavor.
