Description
Delicious and simple prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella bites that are perfect for appetizers or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 package prosciutto
- 1 package mozzarella balls (approximately 12 oz)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional; great for garnish!)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Open the package of prosciutto and gently separate the slices, laying them flat on a clean surface.
- Remove the mozzarella balls from their packaging and drain any excess liquid. If large, consider cutting them in half for easier wrapping.
- Place one mozzarella ball in the center of each prosciutto slice and wrap the prosciutto around it.
- Continue wrapping until all mozzarella balls are covered in prosciutto.
- Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add dried oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Lightly brush the seasoned oil over each prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella bite.
- Arrange the bites on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the prosciutto is crispy and golden.
- Let the bites cool for a few minutes before serving, and garnish with chopped fresh basil if desired.
