Quick and nutritious protein energy bites that are perfect for snacks or post-workout recovery.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter (or almond butter for a twist)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- ½ cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan versions)
- 3 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
- ⅓ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the oats, peanut butter, chia seeds, honey, chocolate protein powder, and chocolate chips.
- Mix with a spatula or your hands until everything is thoroughly combined.
- Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and roll each scoop into a ball using your palms.
- Place the balls in a storage container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Enjoy three energy bites or more whenever you need a boost!
Notes
For longer storage, freeze individual bites. They can last up to three months; simply thaw in the fridge when ready to eat.
