Description

Quick and nutritious protein energy bites that are perfect for snacks or post-workout recovery.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (or almond butter for a twist)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ½ cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan versions)
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
  • ⅓ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the oats, peanut butter, chia seeds, honey, chocolate protein powder, and chocolate chips.
  2. Mix with a spatula or your hands until everything is thoroughly combined.
  3. Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, portion out the mixture and roll each scoop into a ball using your palms.
  4. Place the balls in a storage container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Enjoy three energy bites or more whenever you need a boost!

Notes

For longer storage, freeze individual bites. They can last up to three months; simply thaw in the fridge when ready to eat.
