Description

Delightful Puff Pastry Cups filled with creamy cheese and sweet-spicy pepper jelly, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sweet and spicy pepper jelly
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  3. Gently press each square into a greased muffin tin to create small cups.
  4. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with a few tablespoons of pepper jelly until well combined.
  5. Fill each pastry cup generously with the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Top each filled cup with an additional spoonful of pepper jelly.
  7. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg to achieve a beautiful golden color.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and fluffy.
  9. Allow to cool slightly, then garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier kick, consider adding chopped jalapeños to the cream cheese.
