Description
Comforting Salisbury Steak Meatballs paired with a rich gravy, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, roughly the size of golf balls. In a skillet over medium heat, lightly brown the meatballs on all sides for enhanced flavor, about 4-5 minutes.
- Transfer the seared meatballs into the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until the meatballs are tender and flavors meld beautifully.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. For thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with cold water and stir it in during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
