Description

Comforting Salisbury Steak Meatballs paired with a rich gravy, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs, roughly the size of golf balls. In a skillet over medium heat, lightly brown the meatballs on all sides for enhanced flavor, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the seared meatballs into the slow cooker.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until the meatballs are tender and flavors meld beautifully.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. For thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with cold water and stir it in during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
