A creamy and flavorful chicken dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Heavy cream or dairy alternative
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Season with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over it.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or a plant-based cream.
