Description

Enjoy the flavors of rotisserie chicken with this easy homemade recipe, seasoned with aromatic spices and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (3 to 4 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken dry and drizzle olive oil all over it.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the spices to create a seasoning blend and generously rub this mix all over the chicken.
  4. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and roast for approximately 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for about 15 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Notes

Feel free to adapt the seasonings based on personal preference. Ensure the chicken comes to room temperature before seasoning for best results.
