Description
A vibrant and refreshing shrimp cocktail, perfectly cooked and served with zesty cocktail sauce and lemon wedges.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup cocktail sauce
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
- Add shrimp to the pot and cook for about 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque.
- Immediately drain the shrimp and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
- Once cooled, drain the shrimp again and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Place the shrimp on a serving platter, serve with cocktail sauce in the center.
- Add lemon wedges and fresh parsley for garnish.
Notes
For an extra touch, consider making your own cocktail sauce with ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
